I truly enjoy reviewing products. Getting to try new products is neat but I am a little sadistic in the way that I want to truly put the product through its paces before I tell you about them.
Enter Grabgreen eco friendly cleaning products.
Grabgreen says that it is bridging the gap between conventional cleaners and their eco-friendly counterparts. Hmmm... Okay, but do they work?
Grabgreen says that they are convenient like conventional cleaners but made with healthier compounds. Right...but does it work?
Grabgreen says it out performs all other eco-friendly cleaners...we'll see about that.
I make my own eco-friendly cleaners and I'm confident in their eco-friendliness and pretty happy with their performance so convince me Grabgreen.
I was sent a grab bag of products from their laundry and dish detergent lines.
And I quickly set about putting the products to the test.
The evidence of a very productive day of making grapefruit marmalade was left all over various pots and canning paraphernalia. As were the traces of the previous night's dinner crusted on plates and silverware in my sink. (Just keeping things real in order to properly review the product. You're welcome.)
The convenient little pocket of detergent was popped into my dishwasher and I waited with bated breath for results to show themselves. (Oh, who am I kidding? I had coffee and did some laundry.)
Speaking of laundry, that too got a little Grabgreen treatment.
And I had a doozy of a test for the laundry detergent as well - dog blankets. >Blech!<
The Grab Green package said that I may need two pouches for extra gross laundry or large loads and in this case, the load fell under both categories.
When my dishes were finished, they were sparkling and when my laundry was finished it was no longer smelly. In fact both my dishes and my clothes had a lovely light fragrance.
So what makes this product any different than my homemade detergents? Two things: convenience and scent.
My homemade cleaners are a little messy whereas these are easy to use bubbles of mighty cleaning power (that means no spilled detergent on the floor.)
And even though my cleaners have a pleasant scent, they don't necessarily have a lingering light scent like the Grabgreen detergents. I love the red pear & magnolia, and frankly anything that's scented with lavender gets my vote every time.
You did it. I'm convinced. Well played Grabgreen. Well played... :)
You can find Grabgreen eco-friendly cleaning products in stores nationwide as well as in Canada, Japan, South Africa and Australia.
I was excited to try two new eco-friendly products from Grab Green. Both the laundry detergent and dishwashing detergent are packaged in a bag with individual pods to toss in for a load. For larger laundry loads, you may want to use two. I love the little pods, since there is no measuring. Just simply grab and go. Grab Green is made with organic and all natural ingredients and safe for people with sensitive skin. There is even a fragrance free version for those with allergies.
When choosing eco-friendly products, I like to make sure the packaging is also green. Grab Green uses post consumer resins in their packaging of their products. The little pods are made with a water soluble material that easily dissolves in water after a few minutes. No extra waste. If you are wondering where to purchase this product, there is a store locator on the Grab Green website for you to use.
Cut back on the number of products you use to wash a load of laundry with Grab Green's 3-in-1 laundry detergent. The pre-measured pods (1-2 pods per load) claims to clean thoroughly, remove stains and enhance softness. We tested it and can confirm it does all three, plus we loved the lavender vanilla scent - a light, pleasant note friendly to both male and female testers. Green bonus points for being pet-friendly, biodegradable, and non-toxic, dye-, phosphate- and chlorine-free.
You can't save the environment single-handedly, but you can employ the assistance of eco-friendly household items such as GrabGreen's 3-in-1 Laundry Detergent. The Chicago Tribune tested it and confirmed that it cleans thoroughly, removes stains and enhances softness. PLUS, they gave us green bonus points for being pet-friendly, biodegradeable, as well as non-toxic, dye-, phosphate- and chlorine free!
Spring Cleaning Audrey Magazine puts GrabGreen products at the top of their list for Spring Cleaning. “For me, spring cleaning is synonymous with cleaning everything from hearth to health. With Earth Day around the corner (April 22) why not clean green!”
There's a really popular saying that I've heard many times before that goes something like "The earth doesn't belong to us. We're holding it in trust for our children." I really like that saying because I don't think of this world and it's resources as mine. Just because a tree is growing in my backyard or a stream is running through my property, doesn't make it mine to do with as I want without thought for others or without thought for what it's going to do to our environment. I recently found out about a new brand of environmentally, non-toxic household cleaners made from naturally-derived ingredients. Grab Green was started by a mom who was concerned about the cleaning products her two young daughters might be exposed to. She decided that if she couldn't find non-toxic products she would make them herself.
This ecofriendly home cleaning products review has been sitting on my to do list for much too long. When Patricia, the Founder and Owner of MaddieBrit Products, LLC contacted me about trying their GrabGreen products, I was super excited.
I wasn’t much of a label reader before I started this project. I would occasionally peruse the fat content or caloric intake of a food just to make sure that I wasn’t setting the wheels in motion for a coronary. As far as cleaning products go, I was literally clueless. I ashamedly admit that I wasn’t even aware that there were ingredient lists on these products until about 15 months ago… Well, I’m a bit more well-read and the inquisition of labels has become standard operating procedure while shopping. I still consider myself a rook-rook-rookie when it comes to the ingredients, but I have honed my skills well enough to look out for certain “gotta avoid these things”. One such ingredient is “phosphates”.
Years ago, when conventional cleaning products failed to
remove stains from her children’s clothes, Patricia Spencer mixed a few batches
of homemade detergent. Not only did her formulas prove to be more effective,
they were free of toxic ingredients, which made Spencer doubly happy. If wasn’t
until her began leaving the nest that Spenser realized her products might
appeal to others. Working with an organic chemist, she developed an array of
eco-friendly household cleansers, including laundry detergent, liquid dish
soap, and all-purpose degreaser.
“My vision isn’t just about healthier homes, it’s about
making chores easier,” says the founder of Camarillo-based Grab Green
(grabgreenhome.com). Her popular three-in-one laundry detergent comes ins pre-measured
concentrated pods that are tossed directly into the drums of washing machines.
The no-mess, no-waste approach has retailers and customers
across the country turning green. Some even share cleaning stories with
Spencer: “Apparently my degreaser, which I designed to clean cabinet tops after
cooking, has been used o remove car and bike-chain grease from clothes. I love
hearing about multiple uses. My customers give me great ideas.”
As seen in "805 LIVING" magazine, Jan/Feb 2011 issue.
From sunny Southern California comes a new line of home cleaning products that you’re sure to love. Founder Patricia Spencer hitched her business wagon to CEO Michael Edell and together formed MaddieBrit Products / GrabGreen eco friendly home cleaning products with a total of 40 safe, effective and reasonably priced items in their line.
They offered to provide us with a few products for the purposes of a non-partial review: Dish Soap, Automatic Dishwashing Detergent, Room & Fabric Freshener, 3-in-1 Laundry Detergent (cleans + removes stains + enhances softness) and Wet Dryer Cloths (softens clothes + reduces stain cling + chlorine free + biodegradable cloth + fragrance free) so we put them to the test.

I was able to try out 3 Grab Green products--degreaser cleaner, grass
cleaner & automatic dishwasher detergents. I found them to be very
effective, they worked just as I expected them to. I loved the
tangerine w/ lemongrass scent of the degreaser, the glass cleaner was
unscented. I checked out the Grab Green Home website and I liked that you could coordinate your scents or go fragrance free.
In my opinion, the best thing about these products is that I feel comfortable using them around my 3 year old!!
