"Well, with over 1,450 exhibitors to choose from, it was tough to narrow it down to 18, as well as impossible to visit every booth. So, rather than feature the more established brands, we thought we would bring you the newcomers….first time exhibitors, new products, emerging trends and some personal favorites."
...
"Grab Green – While there are a lot of all-natural and eco-friendly laundry products on the market, we were really excited to learn about Grab Green and their 3-in-1 system which offers detergent, fabric softener and stain remover all in one pod–meaning no measuring or messes from pouring the detergent. Plus, all of the ingredients come from nature-based sources. They also dish detergent and all-purpose cleaners."

"I love the season of fall (and even winter) because it signals a time for nature to rest from her rambunctious summer and recuperate, preparing for a rebirth next spring. In my “TRANSITIONING INTO FALL” article, I shared some transitional tips going into fall from the summer. In this edition, I continue this theme, offering my takes on products that transition nicely into the season of fall.
Following are reviews of products for this transitional season."

Grab Green Dishwashing Detergent Review & Giveaway
My least favorite household chore is dishes. I have a very bad habit of letting them pile up then trying to cram too many in the dishwasher and never getting a really clean result. So I gave Grab Green automatic dish washing detergent a try this week. Grab Green offers a line of non toxic, biodegradable, no chlorine and/or phosphates. Each product is safe and looks out for both you and the environment.
I was impressed, no matter how full the dishwasher was everything was clean. I found no caked on food, no spots even on glassware. I was most impressed that even a frying pan that had grease from meat was perfectly clean. Another thing I noticed was that there was no powdery residue on any of dishes, I have had this problem before with some store brand products. Plus the smell of tangerines filling kitchen after a meal has been cooked never hurt anyone.

I am a huge fan of Grab Green. They have some of the greatest products that are eco-friendly to boot. Who can go wrong with that? GrabGreen has a new product: Garbage Disposal Freshener & Cleaner pods. One nifty dissolvable pod removes odors, helps prevent clogging and loosens grime. I’ve got the tangerine ones, and they smell divine. They are super easy to use: run warm water, drop pod into disposal, turn on disposal. Yep, that is it. Best of all though is that these are non-toxic, chlorine free, and phosphate free. They are also made from naturally derived ingredients like sodium percarbonate, silica, citric acid, soda ash, sodium dedecylbenesulfonate, and a polyacrylate polymer. If you garbage disposal is getting a little stinky, I highly recommend Garbage Disposal Freshener & Cleaner pods! Read the original article here. |

A greener clean GOING GREEN—CEO Michael Edell, left, and company founder Patricia Spencer, both of Westlake Village, began Camarillo-based GrabGreen in 2008. The ecologically friendly company makes nontoxic cleaning supplies. IRIS SMOOT/Acorn NewspapersPatricia Spencer never thought much about the products she used to clean her home and wash her clothes until she became a mother.
After her two daughters were born, she wished there were healthy and natural alternatives to the toxic household cleaners commonly found in homes. “ My kids would always come in looking like ragamuffins,” said Spencer, a Westlake resident. “I was shocked to see what I was putting on my kids’ clothes. I did research to find out what would take out stains that doesn’t have toxic chemicals.” Spencer knew other moms probably felt the same way. As her kids got older, she combined her motherly concerns with her background in product development to create a line of naturally derived cleaning products. Through previous contacts and Internet research, she found biochemists nationwide with experience in formulating ecological cleaning products. She worked with them to create natural laundry cleaners. Spencer said her product would need to be affordable, convenient, use essential oils for fragrances and use naturally derived ingredients. Click here to read the complete article. |

From: Nancy K. of Colleges.com Sent: Tuesday, August 09 To: Patricia Spencer Subject: GrabGreen - I am so impressed!!!
Hi Patricia,
The tangerine lemongrass dishwasher detergent cubes are an absolutely SUPERIOR product.
I AM SO IMPRESSED!!!
I have a 3-year old G.E. dishwasher, and have tried every detergent on the market since it was about six months old. Nothing works well with it. Liquids, powders, cubes - I even tried making my own cleaner a few months ago with baking soda and vinegar, then lemons. I remembered the volcano it created in science class, and thought it would ‘jump start’ my dishwasher into better cleaning. It didn’t. My nice flatware, glassware and glass dishware are always needing an extra rinse and towel dry after the full cycle is done. It’s gotten ridiculous, but I like dishes very clean, not cloudy. So, I was very interested to try Grab Green.
Congratulations on a superior product, it’s environmentally good, smells good, is non-toxic and WORKS!
Thank you for sending the samples. I will be ordering routinely from here on, and will pass the word!
Great job, and I wish you great success. You will do well.
Sincerely, Nancy U. Inc. San Diego, CA. |

Our eco-friendly Grab Green Automatic Dishwashing Detergent stood up to rigorous tests and now stands out among giants in the industry. The Cooking Club tested a wide range of detergents from major brands over the past three months and was thoroughly impressed. Even though almost all were comparing GrabGreen’s Automatic Dishwashing Detergent to large, non-eco-friendly brands like Cascade and Finish. Less than .5% of the testers were of the eco-friendly persuasion, and they still chose to give GrabGreen Automatic Dishwashing Detergent the highest rating possible. Not only were the testers highly impressed with the cleaning power, they were pleasantly surprised that the dishes came out spotless, even the glassware. Also contributing to the high rating was the convenience of the pre-measured pods and lusciously light fragrances. You have GOT to try this new dishwashing detergent soon. You are going to love it! Products to Stock in your Green Home - Miami Herald
Cut back on the number of products you use to wash a load of laundry with Grab Green's 3-in-1 laundry detergent. The pre-measured pods (1-2 pods per load) claims to clean thoroughly, remove stains and enhance softness. We tested it and can confirm it does all three, plus we loved the lavender vanilla scent - a light, pleasant note friendly to both male and female testers. Green bonus points for being pet-friendly, biodegradable, and non-toxic, dye-, phosphate- and chlorine-free.

March 19, 2011 - Confessions of an Overworked MOM
GrabGreen Eco-Friendly Household Cleaners
There's a really popular saying that I've heard many times before that goes something like "The earth doesn't belong to us. We're holding it in trust for our children." I really like that saying because I don't think of this world and it's resources as mine. Just because a tree is growing in my backyard or a stream is running through my property, doesn't make it mine to do with as I want without thought for others or without thought for what it's going to do to our environment. I recently found out about a new brand of environmentally, non-toxic household cleaners made from naturally-derived ingredients. Grab Green was started by a mom who was concerned about the cleaning products her two young daughters might be exposed to. She decided that if she couldn't find non-toxic products she would make them herself.

March 7, 2011 - The Sacred Bee Blog
GrabGreen Ecofriendly Home Cleaning Products
I wasn’t much of a label reader before I started this project. I would occasionally peruse the fat content or caloric intake of a food just to make sure that I wasn’t setting the wheels in motion for a coronary. As far as cleaning products go, I was literally clueless. I ashamedly admit that I wasn’t even aware that there were ingredient lists on these products until about 15 months ago… Well, I’m a bit more well-read and the inquisition of labels has become standard operating procedure while shopping. I still consider myself a rook-rook-rookie when it comes to the ingredients, but I have honed my skills well enough to look out for certain “gotta avoid these things”. One such ingredient is “phosphates”.

February 21, 2011 - As seen in Terry's Spa, Beauty and Wellness Go-to Wanting to provide a safe, natural and non-toxic home environment for her two daughters, Patricia Spencer’s passion and journey led her to the founding of MaddieBrit Products. With her passion and knowledge of products, she searched for the right mix of organic chemists and formulators. The result was the creation of GrabGreen Home, a line of safe, eco-friendly, non-toxic home cleaning products that were natural and free of phosphates, chlorine and other harsh, irritating and synthetic additives, including dyes and perfumes. The products I tried included Thyme with Fig Leaf Degreaser Cleaner, Tangerine with Lemongrass Dish Soap, Tangerine Dishwashing Detergent and Vetiver 3-in-1 Laundry Detergent. All of these products were star performers. Both the Degreaser (natural spray bottle) was incredible and not only quickly dissolved built-up grease, but left the surface sparking and renewed. The Dish Soap (liquid) and Dishwashing Detergent (pod) cleaned exceptionally well, cutting through grease without leaving any residue; surface areas were spotless. The Laundry Detergent (pod) was great for heavily soiled or delicate fabrics, leaving them clean, soft and fresh smelling. Each one of the products also had a subtle and fresh scent, were non-irritating and gentle on the hands. Other conventional products I’ve used caused sneezing, irritated my skin and didn’t always clean effectively, but not any of these. These impressively effective products are also ideal for those that are hyper-allergic, and available in scented or unscented formulas. Read the full review >

Clean Up Your Act with GrabGreenThe Foodie Forkful - Jan 15, 2011 The dust of the holidays has settled. You’ve (hopefully) packed away all your Christmas decorations, and if you’re like many of us, you feel a strong desire to get back to clean, simple living. You may have even resolved to cook more at home this year. Great choice! Unfortunately, cooking more at home also leads to more dishes to do at home. Our little family of three cooks and eats 95% of our meals at home – which means we do alot of kitchen cleaning. Actually I think our sink magically generates extra dirty dishes when we’re not looking, but that’s another story. So when Patricia Spencer, founder of eco-friendly home cleaning products company MaddieBrit offered to send us some items from her GrabGreen cleaning line, I jumped at the chance. While the GrabGreen brand comprises a variety of laundry, all-purpose, and kitchen cleaners, I wanted to specifically focus on the kitchen cleaners. We’ve been using the dishwasher detergent, dishwashing liquid, and degreaser cleaner for about the last month, and they have all earned a thumbs up from me.
