1| Handmade Valentines Sealed with a Kiss

Plus, they’re easy to make and virtually mess-free! Grab a pack of Hershey’s Kisses and construction paper in any color of your choosing (we suggest red or pink!). Cut the construction paper in small heart shapes. Place a mini glue dot on the paper heart and stick the Hershey kisses right on top. To add a personal touch, have your child write the names of their friends and fellow classmates on the heart paper. Now they are ready to spread the love! 3 | Make a Mailbox for Love

This year send them to school with this easy-to-make and adorable valentine holder that will keep their gifts safe and sound. Gather a mason jar, red wool felt, chunky natural white string and doilies. Cut the red wool felt into heart shapes and cut enough chunky string to wrap around the jar two or three times. Gather vegetable oil, cooking spray, 3 cups all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt, 3 sticks unsalted butter, cut into pieces, 12 ounces unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped, 3 cups sugar, 6 large eggs, room temperature and 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line standard muffin tins with paper lines, coat an 8-inch square cake pan with cooking spray, line bottom with parchment, and spray. Whisk flower, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Place butter and chocolate in a heatproof mixer bowl set over a pot of simmering water. Stir until chocolate melts. Attach bowl to mixer, add sugar, whisk on medium-high speed until smooth (about 3 minutes in length).

Beat in eggs 1 at a time, then add vanilla. Reduce speed to low and add flour mixture. Then, divide batter among muffin cups, filling each 2/3 full. Spread remaining batter in square pan, and bake until set but still soft (about 18 minutes). Let them cool in tins and pan on wire racks. Frost cupcakes with butter-cream. Cut out 24 hearts from brownie in pan using a 1 1/2 inch heart-shaped cutter, topping each cupcake with a heart.

Switch out the traditional store-bought Valentine’s Day sweets for this homemade recipe. Your child will love making them with you as much as he/she will love handing them out! Gather pretzel snaps (square pretzels), white or pink chocolate melting disks and valentine M&Ms. Place pretzels on a baking sheet, and center chocolate disks on each pretzel in the oven set at 350 degrees for 2 minutes. 3 | Stacked Tomato and Burrata Salad
