We knew you were looking for a cat urine-odor eliminator, but we thought you'd never ask! If you ever had a pet you know, as great as they are, they often leave smelly messes behind.
In college (quite a while ago) my roommate had a cat named Nimbus; he was as cute as can be, but when it came to neutralizing cat urine odor we had no idea what to do!
None of our friends knew how to remove cat urine odor either. It turns out that cats were originally desert-dwelling and don't consume as much water as other animals, resulting in concentrated urine, producing a much stronger smell. The odor is especially unpleasant as cat urine dries and bacteria breaks it down. So, after some thorough research I ran across the following tips and they worked wonders.
1 | What you'll need
- Empty spray bottle
- 6 drops of essential oil
- 1 tsp. white vinegar
- ½ tsp. of dish soap
- 5 oz. of hydrogen peroxide
- 1 tps. of baking Soda
1. Put the ingredients of the recipe above into a spray bottle.
2. Gently shake the spray bottle.
3. Spray this mix onto the affected area.
If the odor still remains you can try an enzymatic cleaner!
*Make sure to try the spray before any other recipe.
